Schuyler ended up with 2 3rd place finishers and a state champion. Overal in my opinion Schuyler wrestled good. I know very little about David Diaz but from what I have seen he will be a competitor. He got a late start to the season but exceled in the short time he wrestled. Escardo Acosta wrestled very well. I got the pleasure of watching both his quarterfinals match and semi finals match. The district tournament is always bitter/sweet. It was very sweet for our 6 qualifiers 5 of which were in the finals and the 3 that claimed District championships. It was bitter for the kids we left at home. I really feel like we have some guys who are capable of winning matches at state that did not make it through our district.
